New Barn School

Corridor interior at New Barn School following fit-out and interior design by GA Architects

Client: Sussex Healthcare

Location: Broadbridge Heath

Status: Completed

Interior design and fit out of the administration and teaching block, including all floor, wall, and ceiling finishes. Particular attention was given to autism friendly colours and materials to create calm and supportive learning environments.

The project also included the design of a sensory garden and associated horticultural and landscape spaces. The outdoor environment was conceived to encourage engagement and communication through sensory experience, exploring the smell, texture, and character of planting.

The landscape design adopts simple, flowing geometries to create a clear and coherent layout, promoting a calm, nurturing, and accessible environment.
